Talent Development Program For the year 2021-22 we will be servicing grades 3-5. Clearview school students have the benefit of a robust Talent Development program. in grades 3-5. This program is a “right service, right now” approach that is intentionally designed to provide a menu of options for students as well as flexibilityin and out of services based on student need. Students in this program are identified for a specific service through performance, observation, and/or formal assessments. Access to that service continues as long as the student continues to demonstrate an academic need for that service. Accessing ServicesAll Clearview students access Talent Development Services in some ways. Our base level programming is School Wide Enrichment, which allows all students an opportunity to work with the building Talent Development Specialist. Some students will beidentified for additional Talent Development services. This identification occurs in a variety of ways that include-Response to enrichment lessons in the classroomStandardized test data (STAR, MCA)Preassessment of future(upcoming) reading and math content(topics) On and Off RampsBecause our goal is to ensure that students are in the environment that will lead to the most possible growth, you can expect that your student may enter and exit Talent Development Services based on his/her individualneed. Assessment is frequent and is based on-STAR benchmark data (Fall, Winter, Spring)Pre-assessments for upcoming contentStudent performance within regular classroom activities and/or during School Wide Enrichment opportunities. If your student exits services for a time, it is because their current assessment data indicates that they will have the most growth in the core contentthat is being delivered in the regular classroom setting. It is likely that mastering this core content will lead to future academic gains for your student. Due to the flexible nature of programming, many students will move in and out of services throughout the year. This movement is normal and designed to best meet student’s academic needs. Additionally, all classroom teachers consistently differentiate curriculum and offer enrichment materials within their classroom to provide rigorous and challenging learning opportunities for students.
